  • lead front-end developer on an aggregated news analysis tool built for investment group SERAPH
  • Rails stack with an ES6/Bootstrap-based front end
  • remote development spanning four continents (San Francisco, Medellín, Moldova, and Kyoto)

Iffy Studio (London, UK)

Front End Developer and Product Manager (July 2015 – May 2017)
  • collaboratively built three iOS apps and two websites, including:
  • Big Bug:  tap the big bug … faster is better
  • LCD:  send a styled message … or add it to your site with one line of code
  • Zig:  connect opposite corners … get the highest and lowest scores
  • worked remotely (from Paris and Kyoto) since Sept. 2016

Groupon (Palo Alto, CA)

Mobile Front End Developer (Aug. 2011 – July 2015)
  • lead front-end developer on migration of legacy, country-specific mobile sites (France, Germany, Italy, UK, etc.) to Groupon’s global API
  • feature development on US mobile site: global search, hotel bookings, nearby deals, etc.
  • lead front-end developer on migration of mobile site from Rails to Node.js
  • worked largely remotely (from Kyoto and London)

Hoo Logic (Kyoto, Japan)

Full Stack Developer (Dec. 2008 – Aug. 2011)
  • designed and implemented a content management system for Xoom
    (editor, publisher, and interface to translation system)
  • full website implementations for a variety of international clients (CAREX Canada, Treasury Curve, etc.)
  • conceived and developed Real Kana and Real Kanji websites for learning Japanese; 3MM+ page views per month
  • produced accompanying Real Kana and Real Kanji iOS apps

Xoom (San Francisco, CA)

Front End Developer (Sept. 2005 – Dec. 2008)
  • Xoom is an international remittance company acquired by PayPal in 2015
  • sole front-end developer for approximately three years
  • Python and Java stacks
